A Tribute to the Stonewall Citizen's Patrol
Before the Hillcrest Neighborhood Watch, there was the Stonewall Citizen’s Patrol—a pioneering group of dedicated community members who worked tirelessly to keep our neighborhood safe. Founded with the mission to protect and support the LGBTQ+ community, the Stonewall Citizen’s Patrol became a beacon of vigilance, safety, and inclusivity for Hillcrest. (Read More Here)
Our Story
New Beginnings
At the Hillcrest Community Volunteer Patrol, we believe that We Keep Us Safe. Our mission is to foster a connected and vigilant community where residents look out for each other, share information, and work hand-in-hand to deter crime and create a safer environment for everyone.
The push for a community patrol program came from the summer of 2024 when there was a series of crimes in the community including drive-by pellet gun shootings as well as offensive graffiti.

What We Do
Our work goes beyond simply reporting suspicious activity. As part of the Hillcrest Neighborhood Watch, we:
- Host regular community events and meetings to discuss neighborhood updates and safety tips.
- Organize patrols and safety walks to keep our neighborhood visible and protected.
- Share safety resources and emergency contact information to ensure everyone is prepared.
- Connect neighbors to strengthen our bonds and make Hillcrest a place where everyone is invested in each other’s well-being.
